Product FAQ
What's a Swedish Dishcloth?
Great question. A Swedish dishcloth is an eco-friendly cleaning cloth that can be used in any of the ways you would typically use a sponge or a paper towel. They're reusable and quick-drying so don't hold the musty odor that most washcloths or microfiber towels tend to absorb.
What am I supposed to use this for?
Whatever you want! Most people use it for some sort of general household cleaning. In the kitchen, bathroom, or even on drywall, once wet, it's super soft and gentle so can be used on virtually any surface with most home cleaning products. We've had success using vinegar, dish soap, stove cleaner, and even plain water. From countertops and dishes to wood floors, it's safe, soft, and cleans streak-free.
It's dirty, what do I do?
Your Swedish dishcloth can be easily washed on the top rack of a dishwasher or in laundered in the clothing washing machine. We don't recommend using the dryer, though, so just lay flat and it will be dry within a few hours. Each cloth is meant to replace approximately 17 ROLLS of paper towels, so wash and reuse to your heart's content.
My cloth has seen better days, can I throw it away?
That's the whole point! Our Swedish dishcloths are made of 70% cellulose and 30% natural cotton which makes them 100% compostable and biodegradable. So don't feel guilty about throwing it out when its life has come to an end. Each cloth can stand dozens of sanitizing sessions in the dishwasher or washing machine before it starts to degrade.
